How to Make Hot Cocoa Bombs | XOXO Chocolate Bombs

Love the trendy hot cocoa bombs that are taking over your social media feeds? Here’s a cute way to add a Valentine’s Day twist! You can also consider making a batch for an anniversary celebration or gift. Here’s how to get started!

How to Make Hot Chocolate Bombs

You will need white candy melts, hot chocolate mix, mini marshmallows, icing, XOXO candies, and the silicon sphere mold you can find online at Amazon.

Pour candy melts into a microwave safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds or until melts are fully melted.

Spread the candy melts up the side of the mold until completely covered.

Let the molds sit for about five minutes and spread again to ensure all the chocolate is on the side of the mold and hasn’t sank down to the bottom.

Place the molds into the refrigerator for about thirty to forty-five minutes. When the mold is set, remove the candy spheres from the mold.

Fill half of the spheres with the hot cocoa powder and marshmallows.

Place a glass plate in the microwave for one minute. Remove the plate and immediately place each chocolate sphere on the hot place to heat the edges.

Place each heated sphere on each filled sphere. You can use the tip of your finger to smooth the melted candy around the seam.

Use the icing as a glue to add the XOXO sprinkles to the bomb. You can also garnish with sprinkles or other garnishes depending on what you are making.
