Minnie Mouse Hot Chocolate Bombs Recipe

If you want to make your own hot cocoa bombs, try this hot chocolate bombs recipe with a touch of Disney magic! If you are hosting a Mickey and Minnie Mouse party or just have a Disney fan at home, make a batch! This recipe will help you make three hot chocolate bombs.

To get started you will need both red and chocolate melts along with hot chocolate mix, mini marshmallows, white icing, candy bows, and the silicon sphere mold.

Pour candy melts into 2 separate microwave safe bowls and heat for 30 seconds or until melts have fully melted. Spread the candy melts up the sides of the mold until every bit of the mold is covered. You will want to do half the spheres red & the other half chocolate.

Let the molds sit for about 5 minutes & re-spread any of the candy melts that sank to the bottom of the molds. Place the molds in the refrigerator for about 30-45 minutes. Once set, carefully remove the candy melt spheres from the mold.

Fill the red half of the spheres with the hot cocoa powder & marshmallows. Place a glass plate in the microwave for one minute.

Remove the plate and immediately place each chocolate sphere on the hot place to heat the chocolate edges. Place each heated sphere on each filled sphere. You can use the tip of your finger to smooth the melted candy around the seam.

Use the icing to draw a line over the center line of the bomb. Using leftover chocolate, take two chocolate circles and stick them onto the hot chocolate Bombs as Minnie Mouse ears.

Place a little melted chocolate on the back of the candy bows and place the bows on the hot chocolate Bombs. The chocolate will act as a glue.

The “ears” on the bombs are made with leftover chocolate. Don’t skip that step!
