French Vanilla Coffee Bombs

Hot chocolate bombs are all the rage, but what about coffee bombs?! I have several hot cocoa bombs recipes on my site, but there is something about coffee that is more my speed. I prefer iced coffee, but these deliciously rich chocolate bombs are so fun! Here’s how to get started:

How to Make Coffee Chocolate Bombs

To get started, you will need chocolate melting wafers, French Vanilla Cappuccino Mix (dry), chocolate sprinkles, and the semi-sphere silicone mold. You will also need a few additional kitchen items like a bowl for melting chocolate, a small spoon, a large and small plate, a tablespoon, and a pastry bag (or you can use a sandwich bag).

Set a large plate into the freezer. Melt chocolate in a heat safe bowl in the microwave in 30 second increment, until melting, stirring well between each heat session.

Place a spoon full of chocolate into each mold cavity, dispersing it, getting all the way up the sides. Put mold into freezer for 5 minutes.

Remove mold from freezer and add a second layer of chocolate. Freeze for an additional 5 minutes. Heat small plate for 2 minutes in the microwave.

Place remaining chocolate into pastry bag or freezer bag. Heat for 30 seconds if needed. Snip off the very end or corner of bag. Remove mold and plate from the freezer.

Remove the chocolate spheres and place onto cold plate. Fill 6 half spheres with 1 tablespoon each of cappuccino mix.

One by one, place unfilled chocolate spheres upside down on hot plate and move around for a few seconds to melt the edge of chocolate sphere.

Attach to the cappuccino filled mold and secure. If need be, add a very thin layer of chocolate all the way around to seal the two spheres together. Set on cold plate and repeat until all spheres are finished.

Drizzle chocolate on top of cappuccino bomb in a back and forth motion and top with sprinkles.

To use, place 2 tablespoons of cappuccino mix and the cappuccino bomb into a mug and pour 8 oz of hot water (or milk for a richer flavor) into mug. Stir and enjoy!
